For bowl-freezer style machines, freeze the bowl for at least 24 hours before making ice cream. A properly frozen bowl is key to success.

Cold Ingredients

Always start with cold ingredients. Refrigerate your base for at least 4 hours (overnight is best) before churning.

Don't Overfill

Fill your machine to about two-thirds capacity. Ice cream expands as air is incorporated during churning.
